The historic centre of Kraków is situated at the foot of the Royal Wawel Castle. Kraków has Europe's largest market square and numerous historical houses, palaces and churches with their magnificent interiors. The Old Town of Kraków is a perfect example of the medieval architecture that has survived unchanged and was one of the most precious treasures of the world put on the UNESCO list of objects that constitute the World's Cultural Heritage. The city's special atmosphere is created by traditional customs such us a bugle call played every hour in window of St. Mary's Church tower.
